Anyone who does 92 mph in a 30 mph zone is a criminal lunatic, and will laugh at an ANPR camera and letters from the police (if the signs ever actually get put up). The only way to stop such cretinous speeding, all through the town not just Aston Road, is to put up proper speed cameras, and hit the offenders in the pocket and with penalty points. Anything else is absolutely pointless. And what is more, it CAN be done. Just look at smaller communities like Enstone and Woodstock. They got it sorted out and stopped the speeding. Why can’t our town council figure it out, and stop wasting money and time – and risking lives – with useless solutions!
